ELSOUL LABO B.V. (Hoofdkantoor: Amsterdam, Nederland, CEO: Fumitake Kawasaki),
together with Epics DAO, which it established to operate a Web3 NFT card game
supporting open-source software development, is driving innovation and
sustainable development in blockchain technology through the development and
operation of 'solv', an open-source tool for Solana blockchain validators. This
tool has proven its performance and reliability over approximately one year of
operation and is now extensively used by many users on both the mainnet and
testnet of the Solana blockchain.
We are pleased to announce the new version update of solv to v4.1.
The v4.1 update has dramatically accelerated snapshot downloads, a process that
previously caused significant delays when launching Solana validators, by 100
times.
About the solv v4.1 Update
The solv v4.1 update has increased the speed of snapshot downloads by 100 times,
which previously was a major bottleneck when setting up Solana validators.
This enhancement significantly reduces the time required to launch new Solana
validator nodes, including those set up for zero-downtime migrations, thus
greatly improving user convenience.
Furthermore, the updates from solv v4.0.0 to v4.1.0 were made possible thanks to
the substantial contributions to open source by c29r3 and Pumpkin, to whom we
extend our gratitude once again.

ELSOUL LABO en Epics DAO
Het kernteam van ELSOUL LABO en Epics DAO is ook actief betrokken bij de ontwikkeling van open-source software.
Zij beheren twee open-source softwareprojecten, "solv" en "Skeet".
"solv" is een open-source tool die het opzetten en beheren van Solana Validators en RPC Nodes vereenvoudigt. Om beloningen te verdienen als Blockchain Validator zijn machineresources met de juiste specificaties nodig, en moet de Validator-software worden geinstalleerd en ingesteld volgens de documentatie, gevolgd door meerdere updates per week.
Met "solv" kunnen Solana Validators eenvoudig worden gelanceerd met slechts drie commando's. Updates vereisen slechts een commando, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van het open-source karakter zodat een enkele persoon wereldwijd de update kan beheren en anderen deze kunnen downloaden. solv-documentatie: https://solv.epics.dev/
"Skeet" is een open-source serverless app-ontwikkelingstool met TypeScript, die een modern applicatieframework biedt voor infrastructuurbeheer, snelle app-ontwikkeling, AI-ondersteuning en dApp/Web3-ontwikkeling.

De onderzoekspaper van het Skeet-ontwikkelteam, "Skeet: Towards a Lightweight Serverless Framework Supporting Modern AI-Driven App Development", werd gepresenteerd op ENASE 2024, een internationale conferentie over software engineering gehouden in Angers, Frankrijk, op 28-29 april 2024. Dr. James vertegenwoordigde het team en ontving hoge waardering voor zijn presentatie.

Dit onderzoek stelt een lichtgewicht serverless framework voor ter ondersteuning van moderne AI-gedreven applicatieontwikkeling. Het onderzoek is gepubliceerd in de conferentie-proceedings en geindexeerd in Google Scholar, Scopus en andere belangrijke databases, waardoor het breed toegankelijk is voor de onderzoeksgemeenschap.
