Background of the Frankfurt Restock
Frankfurt sits at the center of Europe and is a leading data center city. It is known as the area where the most Solana validators are concentrated.
In Solana, the leader validator rotates every block. Placing infrastructure in a region with many nearby validators statistically increases the chances of communicating over paths close to the leader.
In addition, the region has a dense concentration of network infrastructure including major internet exchanges. This makes it easier to secure low latency and stable paths, which is why Frankfurt region continues to sell out quickly.
